CapStation | Tube filling and capping
The CapStation is a small robotic system used for filling and closing tubes. The customisable equipment comprises a station for carrying out volumetric dosing of beads, the dosing of solutions and a miniature screw-tightening robot with torque pre-selection. The basic system consists of the cone for the screw caps and a robotic mini-swivel arm fitted with a gripper for the caps. Depending on the task required, the basic system can be expanded to include a variety of dosing stations for pourable substances and solutions.
Multiple reciprocating pumps can be strung together to permit the dosing of different solutions within the system cycle. The cycle time can be enhanced by installing two robots working in parallel. Alternatively, the swivel arm robot can also be used to screw on the screw caps. Adjustment of the robotic system to handle other screw caps and containers is offered as a separate option. In addition to manual picking and placing, the process of loading and unloading of tubes can be fully automated.

Typical Applications of the automated cell are:
- Mounting spin filters
- Filling fluids, powder and solids
- Lids of sample containers, e.g. screwing, crimping, foil welding
- Tempering for drying and lyophilization (freeze-drying)
- Sterilization, such as gamma sterilization
Several automation cells can be operated in-line. At the start and the end of the automated cell or the line storage tables provide the necessary capacity.
The automated cell is customized according to its function and the disposables. It can be extended modular at any time. Cycle times of 2–3 seconds can be realized.

The High Speed Gantry is an optimized competition product to fast linear motor arrayer. The table top gantry is much lighter with comparable specific values. The main purpose of the device is dispensing liquids to slides or biosensors. It is possible to disense 10 dots per second with a repetitive accuracy better then 5 μm (0.2 mil). The working space of this compact 3 axis device is 6 microplates. The system can also be equipped with changeable 1 to 8 channel dosing heads with disposable tips at the z-stroke. Fast and accurate providing, blending oder distributing of liquids from microplate to microplate or to slides allows high throughput production. Also powder or solids can be processed using a capable head. For customer specific applications, the system can be modified in working area or dosing head.
